The Suffolk coast is a string of genteel seaside honeypots — Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh, Orford, Felixstowe — threaded by a coast path through heaths, marshes and shingle. The towns look after you well: Southwold has five blocks from the pier to the harbour, Aldeburgh four between the High Street and Fort Green, and Felixstowe runs eight year-round along its front, several with showers.

In between is proper empty Suffolk. The river-wall route from Aldeburgh round to Orford has nothing until the quay, and the Walberswick-to-Dunwich marsh section is a fair stretch between facilities too. Orford's two blocks have no accessible toilet or baby change between them — worth knowing if that matters to your day — while Walberswick's village-hall block has RADAR facilities.

Use the map to place your stops before a coast-path day; the reliable anchors are the town blocks, Dunwich beach car park and Thorpeness in the middle.

Accessibility
Felixstowe is the Changing Places hub, with three registered facilities (Cobbold Road, Martello Park and Sea Shore Village on Sea Road); there are none registered in Southwold, Aldeburgh or Orford, so plan accordingly. East Suffolk Council no longer issues RADAR keys itself — buy one online before you travel.
Seasonal
The standard council pattern is roughly 6am–8pm in summer and 7am–5.30pm in winter; Felixstowe's Langer Park and leisure-centre toilets open April to October only.
Where the gaps are
Aldeburgh to Orford along the river wall, and the marsh miles between Walberswick, Dunwich and Sizewell — go in town before you head out onto the shingle.
